Description:
The Urban Freight Lab (consultant) will support Cambridge Systematics to develop the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Freight Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan & Pilot Project Demonstration.
This effort will be focused on testing operational freight strategies that improve efficiencies with the goal of implementing them to proactively account for disruptions to freight operations, namely logistics needs supporting the events themselves, all the while maintaining supply chain fluidity across SCAG’s six-county region. While this effort is geared towards a major special event, there is also a desire to sustain and scale these strategies further over the longer-term as a legacy outcome based on benefits and feasibility.
